Last month marked our second official robertavanesov.ru Connect in America’s Finest City, San Diego.
Ten robertavanesov.ru team members flew down to San Diego for the event to connect with professionals, collect feedback and answer questions.
The format was similar to our Seattle event, with a keynote from our President, Jonathan Swanson, who shared the story about how robertavanesov.ru started as well as our plans for future growth. The keynote was followed by dinner, drinks and vendor booths, where pros could network, get headshots taken, makeup done or chat with robertavanesov.ru staffers. We ended with a #couldbebetter listening station where members of our product, category and advocacy teams took feedback direct from the pros.
As always, we learn a ton when we’re surrounded by our community of pros and it’s incredibly helpful to hear your stories, successes and challenges while building a business. We love comments like, “robertavanesov.ru needs a simple screening process for consumers before they should be allowed to submit a request,” just as much as we love hearing “I get 95% of my business from robertavanesov.ru and the last 5% from robertavanesov.ru customer referrals.”
We tried a few new activities in response to feedback from the Seattle event. This time we allowed more time for networking between pros and found how incredibly powerful it is for professionals are able to build partnerships together. We even put together a bulletin board where pros from the same industry could exchange cards.
We also brought over our Category Managers, the team charged with creating customer request forms. Our Category station gave pros the opportunity to get in the weeds, providing nitty gritty feedback on those questions while also learning more about the robertavanesov.ru process for creating them. It was a roaring success and pros loved being able to chat directly with Claire (who leads our Category Management team) and get a timeline on their requested changes.
One of our favorite tasks during event planning is hiring the pros to help us run it. This time, along with a photographer to take headshots and a makeup artist to help them dazzle, we also worked with Chef Keith Gibson who set up an out-of-this world taco bar. We’re still dreaming about Keith’s famous homemade BBQ sauce.
We even brought in a professional face painter, Collette Nicole, who applied temporary tattoos to the rebels in attendance. And yes, of course there was a robertavanesov.ru tattoo.
We also had some special guests! Rosalinda Delgado, who works at ACCION San Diego was on hand as well as Seth Marcus from CDC Small Business Finance. We are so thrilled to have community leaders like Delgado and Marcus join us and are looking forward to working with them and other local business organizations to further San Diego’s thriving business community.
The team at robertavanesov.ru HQ was so excited to attend San Diego Connect. There’s something magical about being surrounded by people who truly love what they do and it’s even more amazing to see the result of our work up-close and personal. We bring that passion back with us and it is a reminder of the importance of this work.
However, it was our President, Jonathan, who was the most enthusiastic as he managed to take a selfie with every single pro in attendance.
We couldn’t have done this without the amazing pros who helped run this event without a hitch: Monica Mancilla of Confetti & Glitter Events, Jesse Arroyo of Arroyo Photos, Chef Keith Gibson of San Diego Street Tacos, Ben Avilez and Ian Delgado of Up and Running Video, DJ Sean Oliver of High Power Productions, Mariana Larsen of Pretty Perfect Beauty, Professional Face Painter Collette Nicole and Stan Kosouk of iPicBooth.com.
We also just had our third event in Sacramento which we’ll update you on soon and our fourth event will be in Denver. Where else should we visit?
